Text Box: Thank you so much for all you do to encourage a great band season! We're excited that it's beginning to all come together. As you are probably aware the Maumee Band Parents have the privilege of running the Maumee Sports Concessions - but you may not realize the VALUE this brings to your child's band program.
Last year the Concessions income was $17,622!   That equates to nearly $200.00 per child involved in the program! So you can see just how valuable it is to us!  This amount is nearly 20% of all the money the Band needs to run our program.
In order for this fundraiser to Text Box: work, we ask that you provide two people to work two events. One adult and one child are fine. Please try to show up ½-hour prior to the start of the event to help setup, most sporting events last two to three hours. We will have a chairperson at the event to help get every thing set up and running, and to answer any questions that you may have.
WE NEED YOU!
We understand people are very busy and perhaps you would rather consider a donation of money (see above amount per child) instead of a donation of your time. But, we'd miss you!!! We think you'll agree that the time spent working together as band parents is very Text Box: valuable not only for the income but just as important for the opportunity to get to know one another and support our children together.
The more of us to sign up the lighter the load is on each of us. We sincerely appreciate your willingness to work together and look forward to spending time with you.
The Concession Volunteer Schedules were given out to the student last Tuesday at band camp. Please review and mark your calendar dates. If you have not received a letter, please contact me asap.
Any questions on scheduling, can be made to Jim Ward jward143@sbcglobal.net .

Want to earn money in your child’s student account?
Every Wednesday MBPO runs the SCRIP Program at the Maumee Branch Library from 6-7 pm. With this program you purchase gift cards for any of the participating retailers at face value. The retailer will sell MBPO the gift card at a discounted rate. This discount varies based on the retailer. MBPO takes the first 1.5% and the rest of the money goes into your child’s account. For example Speedway offers 4% discount, so every time you buy a $100.00 Speedway card MBPO earns $1.50 and you earn $2.50. That is $130.00 in your child’s account if you order every week for one year. Restaurants typically give a larger percentage. For example Text Box: Max & Erma’s offers 13% discount for every $20.00 gift card you buy. A link to the complete list of retailers can be found on the band website www.maumeeband.org
How do you use the money in your child’s student account?
Simple! When you want to use the money in your student’s account, you contact Jill Reynolds by email or letter to authorize the transaction from your account. Do not assume the BPO will use your student account money for fees or trips. You must authorize.
If you have any questions about the SCRIP program, contact Becky Szymanski! 419-346-4701 or tbmanski@yahoo.com
Please just try it! A perfect way to help pay fees and Outback Bowl trip payments.
Text Box: Have I seen you at the Wednesday night scrip program yet?
Would you like to save money in your student account to help pay fees without really depositing any money in it?
Do you spend at least $50 of gasoline per week?
How many times a week do you go to drive thru fast food places?
Do you shop at Kohl’s, Old Navy, JC Penny’s…?
All of the above items could be helping you pay your fees from your student account without really paying anything extra! You won’t believe it until you try it...really!
What is a student account?
An account in your students name which acts like a savings account when purchasing scrip Text Box: SCRIPT PROGRAM and STUDENT ACCOUNTS...
